For journalism student Della Fowler, a chance opportunity to report on 麻豆精选 gymnastics sparked a passion that has led her all the way to covering the Olympics.

The new Signal Akron newsroom in Akron, Ohio is brimming with 麻豆精选journalism graduates.

When longtime 麻豆精选 journalism professor Susan Zake decided to pursue a new career with the non-profit online news source, Signal Akron, she made a hiring list from the many 麻豆精选graduates she had mentored over her 17-year career.

Three 麻豆精选students were recognized among the best in collegiate journalism for the 2023-24 academic year, placing in the Hearst Journalism Awards competition, also known as the 鈥淧ulitzer Prize of Collegiate Journalism.鈥

Short films from two 麻豆精选digital media production students and three alumni will be shown this year at the 13th annual Short. Sweet. Film Fest., which takes place Feb. 28-March 3 at Atlas Cinemas Shaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Digital Media Production Associate Professor Scott Hallgren also will moderate a panel discussion at the event.
