Bill Ayres Selected as New Dean and Chief Administrative Officer of Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ at Trumbull
Following a national search, R. William (Bill) Ayres IV, Ph.D., of Toledo, Ohio, has been selected as the new dean and chief administrative officer of Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ at Trumbull. Ayres is currently a professor of political science at the University of Toledo, where he previously served as senior vice provost for academic affairs from 2018 to 2020 and vice provost for academic affairs from 2017 to 2018.

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡Receives $1.2 Million Federal Grant to Assist Adults in College Enrollment
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ a nearly $1.2 million, five-year TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers program grant. The program is designed to provide support services to qualified adults, including veterans, who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education.

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ has named Margaret (Peggy) Shadduck, Ph.D., of Richardson, Texas, as its new vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. Shadduck was selected following a national search.

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡Interim Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D., discussed ways that students can make the most of remote classes while still benefiting from student services during a recent appearance on Facebook Live. Both answered live questions and discussed such areas as summer class schedules, support for struggling students and staying healthy.

I Promise Students Receive Scholarships
Â鶹¾«Ñ¡has opened the gates of opportunity for students in the I Promise Program by providing free tuition for four years as well as one year of free room and board.
