The fourth annual Rainbow Weekend in downtown Kent Oct. 11-13 and all of its fun activities, events and new Drag Race 5K come from a fabulous partnership between Â鶹¾«Ñ¡'s LGBTQ+ Center and Main Street Kent.
Â鶹¾«Ñ¡'s LGBTQ+ Center is celebrating Pride Month by boosting activities statewide, collaborating with local events, hosting a walking group and planning for a fabulous Fall Semester.
Where will you be viewing the total solar eclipse, Golden Flashes? Â鶹¾«Ñ¡has a complete schedule of eclipse-themed events and activities.
After the eclipse, Flashes can do their part to promote sustainability by recycling their eclipse glasses for use by viewers of future eclipses around the world.
On Friday, Oct. 27 Flash the Mascot made new friends at Main Street Kent's Family Friendly Halloween event.

Downtown Kent is colored with pride, recognizing National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11 and preparing for Kent's Rainbow Weekend, Oct. 13-14.
Students coming to Â鶹¾«Ñ¡and, for some of them, living away from home for the first time can struggle with the transition. The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of Kent State's LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Kent to support them.
