JOHN LOGUE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

John Logue, Professor of Political Science at 麻豆精选 for over 30 years, was the founding director of the Ohio Employee Ownership Center at KSU. He was deeply committed to promoting economic democracy and saw employee ownership as a means to that end. In his memory, the John Logue Memorial Employee Ownership Scholarship was established. This scholarship has two interrelated purposes: to memorialize Professor Logue's work in promoting economic democracy through employee ownership, and to make higher education more accessible for KSU undergraduates who share some interests in Professor Logue's work, broadly conceived. This scholarship award is to support a junior or senior either serving in a summer internship at a firm, public sector agency or non-profit organization or to assist with tuition during the fall/spring terms. Preference is given to students who will have a summer internship. If doing an internship, the student and the host organization must commit to a minimum of 100 hours during the summer term. The application process for either form of the scholarship requires letters of reference as well as an essay that connects the proposal to values and principles associated with economic democracy, employee ownership or progressive social policies.
