All-campus Access for Cinco de Mayo With a Healthy Twist: The Five Smartest Things You Can Do for Your Health

or from on May 5 at noon for a Lunch and Learn with Michael Schechter, M.D., principal and director of operations for Be Well Solutions, Â鶹¾«Ñ¡â€™s wellness partner. Schechter will share “The Five Smartest Things You Can Do for Your Health.â€

This lunchtime workshop will provide support in taking charge of your health and acquiring ways to reduce your risk of disease. Topics to be covered include:

  • Knowing Your Numbers/Healthcare Consumerism
  • Nutrition Strategies
  • Exercise Essentials
  • Practicing Emotional Balance
  • Eliminating Tobacco from Your Life

Registration is required for this workshop, whether you choose to attend in Heer Hall, Room 107, on the Kent Campus or via remote streaming. 

Many campuses have reserved a designated room to enable employees to watch the live stream together. We hope you will join the workshop in whichever manner you choose.

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡'s holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
