Luxury lifestyle brand will partner with Â鶹ľ«Ńˇâ€™s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school’s 2017 Annual Fashion Show, FS2. FS2 Presented by Michael Kors will span three runway events held at the Fashion School’s Rockwell Hall on April 28 and 29.
“The Fashion School is incredibly pleased that Michael Kors will be the Presenting Partner for our annual fashion show this year, as the company has already contributed to the school’s mission in important ways,” said J.R. Campbell, director of Kent State’s Fashion School. “Eighteen students from the Fashion School have conducted their industry internships with the company. In fact, Megan McDonald, one of the senior student co-producers for this year’s fashion show, interned in the men’s division last summer.”
FS2 Presented by Michael Kors is subtitled “Reverie,” and it will once again provide an immersive showcase for work by the Fashion School’s design and merchandising students. Performances include a 2 p.m. matinee and 7 p.m. awards show on Friday, April 28. The sponsor/VIP show will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
Earlier, the Fashion School selected Don Witkowski, a Â鶹ľ«Ńˇalumnus and president of men’s at Michael Kors, as the 2017 inductee to the Fashion School Hall of Fame. Witkowski will travel to Kent to receive the honor as part of the fashion show weekend festivities. He also will present a free, public lecture at noon on Friday, April 28.
