Cleveland Orchestra Talents Perform With Ā鶹¾«Ń”Music Professor for Third Kent/Blossom Music Festival Faculty Series

Kent/Blossom Music Festival, the summer chamber music intensive at Ā鶹¾«Ń”ā€™s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music, continues its 2012 Faculty Concert Series

Richard Weiss, first assistant principal cellist with The Cleveland Orchestra, instructs a string ensemble at the 2011 Kent/Blossom Music FestivalKent/Blossom Music Festival, the summer chamber music intensive at Ā鶹¾«Ń”ā€™s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music, continues its 2012 Faculty Concert Series on Wednesday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ludwig Recital Hall on the Kent Campus.  Ludwig Recital Hall is in the Music and Speech Building on 1325 Theatre Dr. Parking is free.

The concert, titled ā€œRomance and Rhapsodies,ā€ will feature the talents of The Cleveland Orchestraā€™s first associate concertmaster Peter Otto, first assistant principal cellist Richard Weiss, keyboard principal Joela Jones, assistant principal viola Stanley Konopka, along with Kent/Blossom Musicā€™s co-artistic coordinator and principal oboe of the Erie Philharmonic Danna Sundet.

The eveningā€™s program includes Three Romances by Clara Schumann, Two Rhapsodies by Loeffler and B major Piano Trio by Brahms.
