Ā鶹¾«Ń” President Beverly Warren delivered the State of the University address on Thursday, Oct. 13. Themed āLiving the Ā鶹¾«Ń”Promise,ā Warren outlined her vision of a reimagined public research university.

The grant provides more than $130,000 for Blake Stringer, Ph.D., assistant professor of aerospace engineering in Kent Stateās College of Aeronautics and Engineering, to study propulsion systems for a new generation of intermediate-sized, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), commonly known as drones.

The Ā鶹¾«Ń” at Salem campus hosted the first-ever STEM University, a free daylong event in September organized by the Columbiana County Educational Service Center for area students in pre-K through fifth grade.

The Ā鶹¾«Ń” Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the universityās 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed Ā鶹¾«Ń” in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Ā鶹¾«Ń”remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
