The 12-week On the Move University Challenge begins Oct. 2 and provides Kent State faculty and staff with a blue and golden opportunity to move more, sit less and become the Most Active University in the nation!

This past week, the walkways at �鶹��ѡ at Ashtabula were lined with thousands of American flags in honor of those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attacks.

While the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey was a distant disaster for many, the storm touched the lives and families of numerous �鶹��ѡ students studying on the Kent Campus and online from their Texas homes. 

The �鶹��ѡ Aeronautics Fair is a free, family-friendly event held at the �鶹��ѡ Airport. The 2017 fair took place Sept. 9.

Congratulations to the following non-tenure track faculty members receiving promotion.

Yanhai Du, College of Aeronautics and Engineering, was co-author for the following peer-reviewed and internationally circulated journal articles.

�鶹��ѡ’s Board of Trustees celebrated the high quality of the university’s fall enrollment, a record number of degrees and certificates awarded and an impressive national ranking, while also approving a university budget that ensures all students continue to receive a world-class education.

Four �鶹��ѡ employees have been named 2017 “30 for the Future” award recipients by the Greater Akron Chamber. Kent State’s Theron Brown, assistant professor of jazz piano in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music; Cason Brunt, director of student support services and academic diversity outreach in University College; Michael Kavulic, Ph.D., director of board operations and technology in the Office of the President; and Alicia Robinson, assistant director of the Women’s Center, received their awards Sept.
