Tips for Presenters/Competitors

  1. Focus on One Key Practice: Choose a single teaching practice and dive into its essence. Share how it works, why it鈥檚 effective, and any tips for implementation.
  2. Think of it like a short TEDtalk:  Keep it engaging, clear, and impactful within the short time frame.  Your audience is varied so keep in mind accessible language and avoiding jargon.
  3. Practice Your Timing: Ensure your presentation fits comfortably within the 5-minute limit to avoid rushing but please do NOT spend hours preparing.  This is meant to be good fun, rather than time-consuming.
  4. Avoid over-reliance on technology: If using interactive tech, test it beforehand, but remember it鈥檚 not essential for this format.  Feel free to keep it simple, a single image or slide can be more effective than a dense presentation.
  5. Have fun! Share your teaching practice with enthusiasm鈥攜our excitement can inspire others.
