Online Communication Studies Degree
The Communication Studies major at Â鶹¾«Ñ¡can be completed fully online. Students may choose to take all of our major requirements online, or supplement in-person classes with a few online selections.
Transfer Pathways
Students Earning Associate Degrees
As part of the Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathway (OGTP), students pursuing an associate’s degree at an Ohio public community college have a clear path to bachelor’s degree completion — online or in-person — in the Communication Studies major.
Communication Studies is one of two majors at Â鶹¾«Ñ¡that is part of the OGTP and offers a fully online path to bachelor’s degree completion.
Undergraduates (Â鶹¾«Ñ¡and other institutions)
The flexibility of the Communication Studies major makes transferring into our program a smooth process for undergraduates looking for a change and/or a timely route to degree completion. Communication skills are needed in every industry, from government and business to nonprofits and education. And, our concentrations require only 40 credits in the major, so it’s possible to make a change midway through your undergraduate studies with minimal, if any, delays in graduation.
Veterans/Military
Communication Studies is one of two programs at Â鶹¾«Ñ¡that is part of a partnership with the Air University Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC). Air Force members with associate in applied science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force can apply credit toward the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡Communication Studies degree, maximizing the application of military career education and training.
With our online bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, members of the military with associate degrees, regardless of where they are stationed in the world, can take Kent State courses online.
