Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ is the recipient of the 2015 Institutional Excellence for Students in Transition Award by the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition. Â鶹¾«Ñ¡received the award for its Exploration Plan Program housed in the University College, which is designed to enrich the freshman experience for undecided students and to expedite a shift into a degree-granting program within the first three semesters.

The Washington Program in National Issues (WPNI) is a 15-week academic program offered Spring semester that offers 15 academic credit hours. A select group of juniors and seniors from various academic disciplines study national and international political structures, culture and history, science and technology and public policy and administration firsthand in the most dynamic and stimulating political atmosphere in the world: Washington, D.C. WPNI offers students a bridge to the labor market they hope to enter upon graduation.
