Visit the School of Art

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡â€™s School of Art is one of Ohio’s top schools in the visual arts, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in Art Education, Art History, and Studio Art. Our program offers a wide array of studio disciplines, expert faculty and a place for fine arts and liberal arts to come together in creative and inspiring ways. 

Discover Art Visit Day

Our on-campus Discover Art Visit Days are free and open to all current high school and transfer students. 

The guided walking tour of the Center for the Visual Arts is about 45 minutes and will offer prospective students and their families an opportunity to see the studio facilities, classrooms and other student community and work spaces. Students that have registered should meet in the designated room at the Center for the Visual Arts (325 Terrace Drive) a few minutes early. Tours take place from 4 - 5 p.m.

At the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ School of Fashion, we revel in the creativity and confidence of our students.

We believe you should be able to showcase your talent, which is why our fashion design and merchandising majors have the chance to apply their skills and innovation in real-world settings. This authentic experience has earned the school a consistent ranking among the best fashion programs in the world.

Discover Fashion Visit Day

Our on-campus Discover Fashion Visit Days are free and open to all current high school and transfer students.

Discover the prestige of our world-class programs. You will attend a group informational session to learn more about program curriculum and requirements, and engage in a Q&A with academic advisors and a student panel. The visit includes a tour of our building, Rockwell Hall and facilities! Tours take place from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes is an exclusive look at the Annual Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ School of Fashion Annual Fashion Show. High school students /groups will learn more about Fashion Design and Merchandising and the incredible opportunities offered at the School of Fashion. The next Behind the Scenes will be in the spring of 2025. Check back for more information.

Visit the School of Music

At the Glauser School of Music there are eight main areas of study: composition and theory, conducting, ethnomusicology and world music, general music studies, jazz, music education, music technology and music performance. Within these areas of study, students have the opportunity to specialize in concentrations tailored for their unique interests and career path.

The guided walking tour of the music wing of the Center for the Performing Arts will offer prospective students and their families an opportunity to see the our classrooms, practice rooms, small rehearsal spaces and Performing Arts Library as well as our creative spaces to collaborate, work and study. Students that have registered should meet in Roe Green Lobby in the Center for the Performing Arts (1325 Theatre Drive) a few minutes early. Tours take place from 4 - 5 p.m.

Our on-campus Discover Theatre and Dance Visit Days are free and open to all current high school and transfer students.

Discover Theatre and Dance

Discover the vibrant, creative and inclusive community we have here at the School of Theatre and Dance! You’ll start with a tour of our Center for the Performing Arts, followed by program sessions and specialized classes that give you a hands-on experience. We’ll take a break for lunch, then dive back in with workshops and extended learning options. The day wraps up with a Q&A session where you can get your questions answered by our faculty and student ambassadors. Students that have registered should meet in the Roe Green Lobby at the Center for the Performing Arts (1325 Theatre Drive) a few minutes early.

11 a.m. â€“ 12:40 p.m.: Dance: Modern 4/5 (Room D122)
12:05 – 12:55 p.m.: Making of Theatre (Room D022)
12:30 – 1 p.m.: 30 Minute Lunch Break
Afternoon Options
1 – 1:50 p.m.: Fundamentals of Production I (D303)
1:10 – 2:50 p.m.:  Musical Theatre Performance I (D302)
1:10 – 2:50 p.m.: Ballet 3 (Room D123)
2 – 2:30 p.m.: Faculty/Ambassador Q and A (Wright Curtis Theatre)

Additional Instructions

  • Plan to arrive on time to allow time for obtaining a parking pass and check in with Student Ambassadors and Faculty in the Roe Green Lobby.
  • Parking instructions: Park in the C [commuter] Lot on the south side of the Center for Performing Arts, then obtain a parking pass being held for you in the lobby.
  • This program is designed for high school juniors, seniors, and transfer students. Attendees will observe selected classes. Parents are also welcomed to observe however, space is limited.
  • Students may attend a 1 p.m. class or take additional time for lunch.  Bring a bag lunch or money for lunch. Eastway Cafeteria is near the building.
  • The program ends at 2:30 p.m.; however, students may leave the program earlier. Â鶹¾«Ñ¡offers a 90-minute campus tour at 2 p.m. This needs to be scheduled in advance and separately here:  /admissions/tours-events

Schools or community groups with prospective college students may request a visit in the School of Art, School of Fashion, School of Music, School of Theatre and Dance or the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Museum. Our visits are designed specifically for students interested in the College of the Arts majors.
