Individual Income Tax Assistance
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $67,000 or less, persons age 60 and up, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who file Form 1040 and Foreign Students and Scholars who need to file 1040NR. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. You must bring original social security cards for anyone listed on the tax return and photo identification for the taxpayer and spouse. The spouse must be present if you file a joint return.
