Ā鶹¾«Ń”Trumbullā€™s Nursing Students Launch ā€˜Walk and Talk with a Nurseā€™ Program

Nursing students at Ā鶹¾«Ń”Trumbull are putting their best foot forward, hoping to promote healthy lifestyles in the Mahoning Valley.

Members of Ā鶹¾«Ń”Trumbullā€™s Student Nurses Association (SNA) recently launched the ā€Walk and Talk with a Nurseā€ program at the Niles Wellness Center. From 9-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month, students will join members of the Wellness Center to participate in a variety of physical activities. During the activities, members are encouraged to talk and ask questions about health and activity.

ā€œWe think it is so important that we help promote a healthy Mahoning Valley,ā€ said Taylor Stull, vice president, Ā鶹¾«Ń”Trumbullā€™s SNA. ā€œThis is a great way for us to stay active in our community, meet great people, and do our part to promote healthy lifestyles.ā€

According to Bob Burke, park and recreation director, City of Niles, many of the regular members are beginning to look forward to these special days.

ā€œThis is a great partnership,ā€ said Mr. Burke. ā€œThe nursing students have been terrific and itā€™s great to watch them seek out some of our senior citizens and walk around the track with them.
