President Diacon, who has served as Kent State鈥檚 leader since July 2019, earned this recognition for the third time. Ren Camacho, who serves on Kent State鈥檚 Board of Trustees, was recognized for his impactful leadership as president and CEO of the since 2018. Camacho oversees a team of 60 airport employees and manages all capital improvement initiatives. His strategic leadership has recently secured $3.2 million in funding for new ramp construction, a project expected to generate significant employment opportunities and economic growth. Under his direction, the airport expanded its services, notably adding new routes through carriers like Allegiant and Breeze Airways, including its first direct flight to Los Angeles.
