Everyone was at Dix Stadium to cheer for our Golden Flashes at Kent State's Homecoming celebration last weekend.

Since Don’Marie Reid of Akron became a Golden Flash, she has experienced immense support from the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡community, but the CommUNITY Lab is her home away from home where she and many other students receive unconditional support.

With more than 370 majors to choose from at Kent State, it can be overwhelming for some students to choose their major and career path for them.  This October the Exploratory Advising Center is hosting its first-ever Exploration Month to help exploratory students find their interests and explore the different majors and opportunities Â鶹¾«Ñ¡offers.

Tram Nguyen was drawn to Â鶹¾«Ñ¡after seeing one of the tragic May 4, 1970, and learning the sacrifices the students made.

Vietnamese student Tram Nguyen made a connection to Â鶹¾«Ñ¡when she saw a picture of student Jeffrey Miller after the May 4 shooting. Recently she visited the Prentice Parking Lot Memorial Marker dedicated to Miller.

More than 250 leaders from Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ and the city of Kent came together Tuesday for the 60th annual Bowman Breakfast, an event aimed at celebrating the strong relationship between the city and the university.
