Antique books at the KSU Surplus Store

Â鶹¾«Ñ¡'s Surplus Store, located on E.Main Street offers a variety of useful items including furniture, electronics, office supplies and a fascinating selection of antique maps and books, with many books that are more than 100 years old. The store is a reflection of Kent State's commitment to sustainable practices and disposing of items that are no longer needed by the university.

Prairie Burn 2024

The annual prairie burn on the university property near the Recreation and Wellness Center renews healthy plant growth and saves Â鶹¾«Ñ¡money in maintenance costs.

 

A blaze burns the prairie grass that grows behind the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center during a controlled burning by the Kent Fire Department.

The protected prairie surrounding Â鶹¾«Ñ¡â€™s Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Monday, April 15, between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon, to allow for new growth during the summer season.
