At 5'9", Isaac Vance doesn't immediately stand out next to his Â鶹¾«Ñ¡football teammates, but his big heart and care for others clearly make him one of the tallest on the team. Vance, a senior wide receiver, was surprised Dec. 17 as the Humanitarian Award winner ahead of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The award is given annually to a player from each team for exemplary community service and leadership efforts. With an infectious smile and overwhelming positivity, it's easy to see why Vance stands out as a person who cares deeply about helping others.
Â鶹¾«Ñ¡has won the Mid-American Conference's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Academic Achievement Award for men's sports for the first time in school history.
For the first time in school history, Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ has received the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Institutional Academic Achievement Award. The Golden Flashes earned a department-wide grade-point average (GPA) of 3.447 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Five Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ graduates will compete at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics over the coming weeks, breaking the school’s previous record of four Olympians at the Munich Games in 1972.
Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ Athletics has announced all sports facilities, including Dix Stadium, the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) and Murphy-Mellis Field, will be at full capacity for the fall 2021 sport season.

Richmond as the university’s new director of athletics at a morning virtual press conference held Thursday, April 15. Richmond currently serves as senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University.
