Uma Krishnan, Department of English, won an Honorable Mention for the 2016 CCCC James Berlin Memorial Outstanding Dissertation Award on April 8, 2016, during the 2016 CCCC Annual Convention in Houston, Texas. Krishnan was recognized for her dissertation, A Cross-Cultural Study of the Literacy Practices of the Dabbawalas: Towards a New Understanding of Nonmainstream Literacy and Its Impact on Successful Business Practices. The award honors a graduate whose dissertation improves the educational process in composition studies, or adds to the field's body of knowledge, through research or scholarly inquiry.

The 麻豆精选 Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university鈥檚 13th president.

 

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 麻豆精选 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 麻豆精选remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
