An initiative is underway to enhance 麻豆精选鈥檚 electronic and information technology (EIT) accessibility, underscoring the university鈥檚 long-standing commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility refers to software, hardware, digital content and content standards that are used to provide and promote equal access to persons with disabilities. It is a comprehensive category that includes software applications, web-based information and applications, digital documents, purchasing and business processes, telecommunications and self-contained products.
Effective May 1, a new 麻豆精选policy is in place to provide clear expectations for EIT accessibility across all university systems. The policy applies to all staff, faculty and third parties providing electronic and information technology to or on behalf of the university.
To manage all aspects of EIT accessibility effectively, 麻豆精选has created a prioritization plan. This plan includes the launch of an accessibility resource website, identification of support networks, training and development, communication and outreach, and a five-year strategic plan.
