麻豆精选Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon Achieves First Gold Level Chapter in the Nation at PSE Pro/Am Competition

KENT, Ohio 鈥 The 麻豆精选Sales Team and Kent Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) brought home numerous recognitions and awards from three competitions this fall.

Pi Sigma Epsilon is a national co-ed professional fraternity in the fields of sales, marketing and management.

The Kent Chapter of PSE received Gold Level Chapter 鈥 the first chapter in the nation to earn this status this year 鈥 at the PSE Pro/Am competition. The 麻豆精选Sales team was ranked 19th out of 80 teams at the International Collegiate Sales Competition and second overall at the Ohio Collegiate Sales Competition. Students were coached by 麻豆精选sales faculty members Ellen Daniels, Kelly Blay, Don Thacker and Eric Kennerk.

鈥淥nce again, 麻豆精选Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship students displayed their remarkable skills and professionalism at the regional and international levels,鈥 said Ellen Daniels, faculty advisor for PSE and coach of the Sales Team. 鈥淪peaking on behalf of the sales faculty, I am so proud of all the students who took the time and made the effort to represent Kent State. Thanks to our outstanding Sales Advisory Board who provides support for our sales students and made it possible for 38 students to travel to competitions this fall.鈥

In addition to receiving the first Gold Level Chapter designation in the nation at the Northeast Regional Pro/Am Conference held in Toledo, Grace Bergert was a semi-finalist in the Pro/Am competition; Daniel Andrade took second overall in the speech competition; Brian Saunier was a member of the winning marketing case team and Alyssa Haydon and Parker Heller were finalists in the interview competition.

At the International Collegiate Sales Competition hosted by Florida State University, Jana Stone and Hannah Keil were Role Play Competition semi-finalists and Luke Kilbert, Kylie Blair, Sydney Grisez, Angelina DiCola and Rafaela Happel placed second in their room in the Sales Case Competition.

At the Ohio Collegiate Sales Competition hosted by Cleveland State University, Kendall Stanoch was the winner of the Elevator Pitch competition; Rachel Spayd and Daniel Andrade were semi-finalists in the Role Play Competition and Spayd placed second overall.

During the competitions, students had an opportunity to meet with employers representing regional, national and global companies. Many were interviewed and offered internships and full-time jobs.

鈥淪ales competitions not only provide an opportunity for students to hone their skills, but they also allow them to make invaluable connections with employers and set themselves up for success in the future,鈥 Daniels said.
