Students Celebrated at Ashtabula Campus's 79th Commencement Ceremony

Though ta few weeks later than originally intended, 鶹ѡ at Ashtabula honored the fall graduating class at the campus’s 79th commencement exercises on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, in the Susan J. Stocker Hall gymnasium.

“Commencement is a major milestone in the lives of our students,” said Dean and Chief Administrative Officer R. William (Bill) Ayres IV, Ph.D. “It’s such a special night to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of these graduates here on campus and in the familiar and intimate environment the event deserves. “While we had to adjust our original plans, we remained committed to honoring the hard work and dedication of our students, their families, and our faculty. It was wonderful coming together as a community on January 10th to recognize this important milestone.”

Over 100 graduates were recognized at the event. Associate professor of history and Distinguished Teaching Award recipient Bradley Keefer, Ph.D., delivered an entertaining commencement address. The Ashtabula Area College Committee, Inc. also presented its academic achievement awards.

“We all share the pride in our graduating students and the joy at the prospects that lie ahead,” Ayres said. “The faculty and staff of 鶹ѡAshtabula are committed to helping students achieve their dreams and providing the support and resources they need to be successful in their studies and impactful in their careers, in their communities and in society.”
