TKS Information
Your college journey continues at Transfer Kent State! Learn more about what to expect, what to bring and what to know before arriving on campus.
Transfer student orientation is split into two parts:

TKS KickStart: These are required online pre-orientation modules where you will learn how to prepare for your academic advising appointment at during your TKS visit and learn more about campus resources.

Transfer Kent State: During your in-person TKS orientation, you will meet with your academic advisor to discuss academic goals, your transfer credit and then register for classes. You will also be introduced to important university resources and opportunities for leadership and engagement.
You can find your TKS KickStart modules in . It is strongly encouraged to complete all modules before your scheduled TKS date.
These modules will provide you with important information, including:

Preparing for your TKS academic advising appointment where you will discuss transferring your credits and scheduling your classes.

Financial aid and scholarship information, and technology requirements.

Opportunities for campus involvement and leadership.

Prior to your scheduled TKS date:

Complete your TKS KickStart modules. You can refer back to TKS KickStart at any time throughout your entire first year as needed.

Review your Graduation Planning System (GPS) degree audit in your .

Complete all required placement assessments indicated by your personalized student checklist in FlashLine.

If you need to change your major, call the Admissions office at 1-800-988-KENT or contact your admissions counselor.

Upload your photo for your FLASHcard (your student ID).
Remember to:
- Park in the Â鶹¾«Ñ¡Student Center Visitor parking lot at 1087 East Summit Street, Kent, OH. You will receive a parking voucher when you check in at TKS to exit the lot at the end of your orientation.
- Look for the TKS signs and orientation leaders to find the TKS check-in location.
- Scan your parking voucher at the pay station when exiting the visitor lot at the end of the day.
